Pabst was a well-known brewery that originated in Milwaukee. They made their beer at the Pabst building in Milwaukee and they shipped it to different bars located all over. They shipped a lot of their beer to Canada. Pabst wanted to grow. So, they decided to build in Oshkosh, they chose Oshkosh because it was a well-populated city, it was not that far from Milwaukee where the main building was located, and it was closer to Canada where they shipped a lot of their beer. This was desirable because when they shipped their beer to Canada, it would not take as long to get there and they also would not have to worry about so many bottles breaking and beer spilling in the delivering process, Also, Oshkosh was also well populated which means there was a lot of people to buy their beer. Milwaukee Pabst tried to replicate their building when they moved to Oshkosh. The beer was a big thing to the people living in early Oshkosh, so when Pabst grew from Milwaukee to Oshkosh in the late 1800s, it really helped to show the culture of the people living in early Oshkosh. While the beer was still brewed in Milwaukee, the Pabst building in Oshkosh held the beer and was the distribution center. Since the people in early Oshkosh were known for drinking beer, there was a lot of bars. Pabst sold their beer to most of those bars which also helped the growing process of Pabst and also helped the community.
