The sounds of the kids flipping the pages aggressively, the kids screeching for joy of the new playset in the lower level of the library. The smell of new books with a hint of new beginnings for many people in the library community. Then the older people in the upper levels diving into computers and looking at the new books, hinting to a new better future for the library. The yelling of the cautious parents screaming at their kids not to break the new books, and not to knock over the new unstable bookshelves. The beeping of the books getting checkout out one by one for a solid hour. The people kept filling in the building one by one in the excitement of the new expansion on the library.
Then the outside of the building looking good as new. The lions sparkly clean with a hint of age to them. The new extension of the building making the library look like a center point of Oshkosh. The lights shining over the beautiful addition to the library at night with the people just leaving the building because of the opening day rush.
The manager stressed in his library after a stressful opening day of the new library extension. The new room smell almost is gone already with the number of people they had in the library that day.
The sound of the new flags on the outside of the newly renovated library standing tall and proud of supporting our country. The metallic ping of the flag poll representing. The trees swaying around the library making the sound of fall coming around the corner quicker than ever. The leaves falling delicately on the grass while the tree is slowly swaying back and forth.
The people pulling up to the library more excited than ever to see the newly renovated library. The new chapter to the Oshkosh Public Library. A new life for the people who always wanted a library with both a quite studying space, and a space for expressing the knowledge.
